The staff was way bigger than the shard. Sometimes size does matter.

You mentioned earlier that maybe the shard perceived hexenbiest Juliette as pathologic and tried to reset her back to her pre-hexenbiest state as it did take away her powers for a while. I don't think the shard had anything to do with taking Eve's powers. Eve was critically injured. The loss of her powers may be her body's natural defense against death. In other words, first the powers go, then lesser systems and the major organ failure. There was a similar situation when Meisner backhanded Juliette. She was severely injured and tried to knock Meisner out of the room. I thought perhaps HW found some way to suppress her powers but now I don't think so. Juliette was critically injured at that time and obviously was in recovery. It's possible her powers wouldn't return until she was completely healed.

That's a reasonable possibility. So perhaps the stick healed her physical wound and her damaged psyche. By the season finale Eve seemed a lot like pre-hexenbiest Juliette, except for the fact that she still self-identified as Eve.

To me she acted a lot like Adalind, sans Nick.

By the middle of s06, Adalind and Eve had pretty much identical personalities, as near as I could see.

I am glad I'm not the only one who noticed this.
