I write my answer down there, so that no one involuntarily be spoilered.
Spoiler : Have you actually the main or the variant cover? Personally, I find the maincover much better then the photocover.

I finally managed to get me the comics - all 5 of them at once!
I'm going to comment them one by one, so I'm starting here. First of all, I've never been a comic fan and haven't read one for many years, but it's hard to be a Grimm fan and someone has to do it My first impression: they are thinner than I expected/hoped. And full of ads for other comics, too. The main cover of issue 1 is beautiful - the others aren't at all. It's obvious they wanted to make more money by selling mainly the photo cover issues. The story, the drawing: I like it! It's completely different than the TV show, it's much more brutal. The scene where the new female Grimm stabs the dickfellig with his own horn is a bit annoying. Even for a Grimm it can't be that easy to snap a rhino horn with one hand! You see Wesen in woge nearly all the time. Lowen can smell Grimms? Can they? But the drawing is really nice, they really manage to create atmosphere. Of course I like the comic is set in Europe! My favourite scene in the first comic is the Eisbiber taxi driver trying to lure them into his brother-in-law's restaurant. By the way: I treat my comics as they were raw eggs, keep them in their cover all the time, my boys don't even know I have them |
