I could be wrong, but wasn't that tree creature a non-Wesen? Weren't a few episode's arc non-Wesen creatures?
You are correct it wasn’t a wesen it was something else entirely different.
I also recall a kid that was thought to be possessed, then as a non-listed Wesen. It turned out to be a virus or bacteria that the old Juliette helped him to be cured.
