I believe his choice would have been not to have children at all.had Nick been given a choice before Adalind came to him at the station, Juliette would have been the mother of his child(ren) but life dealt him a different hand and he adjusted.

I still don't see how that suddenly equates to marriage.Seeing how you dismiss most of the show, again you go right ahead believe Nick is indifferent to his new family with Adalind and has never placed them above everything else including his life as a grimm as seen in the last episode. I'm not going to try and convince you otherwise.

Adalind should be free to leave at any time, should she wish. It's your opinion and you're welcome to it but this isn't what Adalind wanted for herself.

Quote:but the topic of marriage rarely came up between Juliette and Nick in the time they were together. It came up enough times for it to set a good portion of the viewers against Juliette.

He's a one woman type of guy, he believes in getting married once and asked his long term girlfriend more than once. He's in love with Adalind and is dedicated to his new family with Adalind and the children and couldn't bare to live without them and has been with Adalind for decades. Kelly now goes by the name Burkhardt instead of Schade-Burkhardt. I take that as a hint, take that as you will but I'm more than happy to believe the writers' intentions with these characters, including their post interviews shedding more light on their creations.
