That whole idea just seems like it would...well, kill Nick instantly. You're introducing an extremely potent neurotoxic alkaloid, concentrated into a thick paste no less, directly into your bloodstream, right near your brain. And what did it actually do to the electric-eel wesen?
Incidentally, a saber fencing lame (vest) would have provided complete protection with no real compromise of mobility. There's a video of a guy taking a taser to the chest through a lame and doesn't feel a thing.
Was not aware of that one, the lame I mean. And thanks for telling me what they are called. I have wandered from time to time but never at a moment when I could look it up.
My theory on the poison in the piercing is that the writers were tired and had nothing else. They wrote themselves into a corner with no way out and hoped we would not notice how awful it was. I doubt it would occur to them to ask a college physics prof or even an engineering student how they would handle an electric eel out of water. I do not suggest biology prof/student because they would know the standard method and not think outside the box. Nor would they ask a cop what the limits of a taser are.
I was the second person to vote. I gave it a like because I liked the show over all. If it had hung on the poison in the ear thing I would have joined that lone vote on every poll in the dislike spot.
If I had something important to say, I would have mumbled it.
