ghost busters looked more like hazmat suites. done to death and does not really fit the theme of Grimm. The large electric companies currently use line men dressed in what for all intents and purposes are medieval chain mail. The links make electrical connections to one another and let the em field flow around the man. This look would fit with the idea of a grimm rather than a ghost buster. The draw back is head to toe chainmail weights 75 to 125 pounds depending on the size of the man it was made for. And for em protection it does have to be head to toe. If you want to see it look for documentaries on High Line Men.
I would agree. One needs daily training to fight in chain mail whether vs. armored or unarmored opponents just because of the weight factors and extra recovery time needed. So it would not be something that could have been done spur of the moment. I will give this one to Syscrash. As for the prop issue the aluminum chain mail exists on a lot of sets waiting for someone to call for it. They are no longer shooting Hercules or Xena.

If I had something important to say, I would have mumbled it.
