Yeah I briefly thought that might be where they were headed with Trubel, but no, I don't think they're going to try for Grimm: Philadelphia or anything with this story arc.
That being said, I challenge your assertion that there cant be a good Grimm spinoff: I'd totally watch a show about Kelly Burkhardt and Elizabeth Lascelles (Sean's mom) traveling the world together, visiting exotic locations, protecting baby Diana and being badasses together fighting the Royals Like a pair of female magical/Grimmical James Bonds...with a baby...
I made no such assertion nor even implied it. Try re-reading my post. I just said the show doesn't have a large enough audience to warrant a spin off as far as network exec types are concerned.
In previous discussions with others here we thought the best idea, if they were going to do it, would be a prequel with Kelly and Marie as young women, a la "Supernatural". Also perhaps a 2 or 3 part mini series that tells the story of the original 7 Grimm knights would be pretty cool.
