Trubel again we how come back to Chavez or Bill that also could work so both those might give us some answers.
The Vatican also has a lot of secrets they have been around for it all I could believe they know something. Putting the other 7 coins in Brazil under church control maybe could or would Grimm's be with the Jesuits. I'm not up on the church but weren't the Jesuits also at times fighters beside teachers? One of the books I read had a Jesuit as good with a sword as the teaching it was a fiction so not sure how much to read into the order. Good ideas putting the coins and the keys back into play and again a correct history to back it up.
I don’t like to use churches and religion in stories and fantasies because many people don’t understand. You can consider Dan Brown books for example. But grimm use crusades, a specific religious/catholic/Christian event. IT would be natural to consider Catholic Church and its secrets in the plot.
I don’t know much about the Jesuits. I searched the net and I found something interesting

In this link it is said the Jesuits was called “soldiers of Christ”. It is because Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the order, was a Spanish former soldier. Just for curiosity, Pope Francis is Jesuit.
I real like to use real history to support fantasy stories. It makes things more fun, more reliable and the connections more interesting. For example… If grimm was real life, the Europeans would not come to America without at least one or two grimms in the ship. Take the example of Darwin that in the show asked for help from a grimm. The Jesuits can perfectly be the grimm helpers.
I am Catholic and it happens I went to Jesuit schools. They are a strange dichotomy. Called "soldiers of Christ" because of their defense of the Church, yet they are often the ones who challenge the Church's beliefs. (They were on Galileo's side at first. Till they thought he had stolen one their orders work! More to that story than most people here about in history books!)
For example, I was taught evolution by a Jesuit priest in the 1960's. Although the Church did not forbid that at the time, it was considered contraversial from a religious point of view. And the order has been banned a couple of times over the centuries for basically telling the Vatican to get stuffed.
And yet one well regarded historian, Will Durant, referred to them as the "Church's Shock Troops"! And they are organized like a military organization. The head of the Order is called the Father General and is sometimes referred to as "The Black Pope" because they wear nothing but plain black priests' garb and they will tell other Catholic authorities to get stuffed!
