You overestimate how much of Rosalee being my favorite is based on Bree Turner's looks. Now her smile is a different matter. And I'm not saying that she isn't a very beautiful woman. But she's got an offbeat sense of humor in Interviews. And Rosalee is just the right mix of being flawed, but with her heart in the right place and a bunch of useful knowledge and skills to justify why she's useful to the group and doesn't just get to tag along because she's Wesen and/or Monroe's girlfriend/fiancée/wife.
All of which has nothing to do with this episode. Stop luring me off topic, you! At least make up a comment or two about the episode as well so we can justify this.
I've decided to add my actual commentary on the episode beneath this just in case anyone wants to talk Bears will be Bears.
* My sympathy for Gilda and Rocky is somewhat limited. Sure, I didn’t want things to get that bad. But while I can somewhat understand breaking into a place if you need money. Vandalism’s just completely unnecessary...
* I like Hank’s easy going concern for Nick in this scene.
*Oh Sean, your crocodile tears are amazing.
* Nick hasn’t seen Marie in two years.
* And again, we see Nick trying to profile someone by looks. Just as he did with Adalind (and to some extent Monroe) in the pilot.
* Hank’s second wife was an anthropologist. And it seems he’s listened well...
* Nick points out that he would have lost his mind if it hadn’t been for Aunt Marie. (Poor Trubel, really, having no such person until she finally meets Nick.)
* “I hope I haven’t done more harm than good by coming to you.” (Interesting point. Just look at all the things that might never have happened. Good or bad.)
*Hank’s been waiting for Nick to come back from seeing Marie.
* I don’t like the Bears much either. Just generally don’t like the guest characters in this one much. Except for Aunt Marie, of course. And her lovely doctor.
* “Don’t be such a cop. The doughnuts are for desert.”
* Nick really gets asked how he’s doing a lot at the moment. He seems to resent it a little, going by his tone.
* Sorry Monroe. It’s like adopting a puppy.
* “We need to talk.” - “Not at six thirty in the morning, we don’t.”
* Monroe’s already coffee crazy. And he seems to have enough bagels lying around to share just in case someone shows up. For a loner he’s just adorably prepared.
* Oh come on, Monroe, you howl when things get bad. So don’t mock people for wailing.
* And there we go again, running out like that.
* Aunt Marie is so pleased to hear he’s learning.
* Very nice justification there, Sean.
* Poor Monroe.
* “What the hell makes you think I’m gonna stay here and protect her?” - “Because I trust you.” (Monroe waits until Nick is gone.) “Maybe you shouldn’t trust me.”
* Nice convincing of dad there, Nick.
* Good spotting of the car, Hank.
* Aunt Marie’s still pretty tough.
* Why am I worried about Monroe? I know he will be okay. And I’m still worried. I guess I just hate it every time he gets beat up.
*After ripping the guy’s arm off. “Okay, that went a little too far.”
* So Jägerbär can also pick up a trail by woging and sniffing clothes.
* I’m considering to keep an eye open on whether it’s usually women embracing their wild side who die in the end. Mom here. Angelina in Over my Dead Body. Maggie from Iron Hans. Just easy top of my head ones.
* Marie Kessler 1958-2011. Rest in peace. I wished we could have kept her for longer.
