No doubt. However, while Catherine never stated what the debt was all about, she did imply that the ramifications of getting the debt resolved would remove a huge burden for both her and Adalind. Apparently there was a lot riding on the line for Catherine as well. Was it worth rejecting her daughter? No one really knows the rules of hexenbiestdom. It may have been perfectly natural as far as hexenbiests go. Adalind failed, and failed miserably, losing her identity in the process.
