And Aunt Marie was encouraging him to make a relationship choice that would have made it more likely that he never would. And he still is, unless/until Kelly shows Grimm powers.
Nick become a grimm so late that his relationship with Juliette it was not the kind that was compatible with a risky grimm and cop life. Maybe his aunt was hoping he would be like his uncle and not be grimm and she would have been the last one.
Plus, the uncle was Kelly and Marie's brother and they seemed estranged from him because Nick didn't seem to know much about him. Could be Kelly and Marie didn't know that he may have fathered Grimm children. Trubel could actually be Nick's baby sister, if her parentage isn't already known.
Actually I think that would make her Nick's first cousin. That is if she is the child of Nick's uncle. The reason Kelly and Marie may have been estranged from their brother was in order to protect him from their world. Would have been very dangerous for a non-Grimm.
Get out of town, everyone knows the kids of your uncles are your brothers and sisters. Scuzz, pleese, so happy. You're a sharp one, but I think it was the mention of your favorite, Trubel, that caught your eye, haha. Yeah, she would be his baby cousin for sure, and I agree that the lifestyle would cause a separation between the siblings for the same reason they sometimes leave their children.
But if there is a connection, maybe Trubel will show up with more HW grimms to join the fight, thereby sort of fulfilling the intent of the original knights' call to arms. This skull thing has me remembering the seven neon skulls of those knights where the stick and cloth were found. Or maybe it's just that skulls would be a common feature of a show like Grimm.
