They point is... The audience don't know yet what the BC wants and neither since them they want. The audience still don't know what the HW knows. By this perspective, you are totally right.
But considering the promo for next episode, I have the impression the plot line will be something like the BC is planning this for a long time.
If I got correctly from the promo, the BC will kill all members of the wesen council. It is not a simple gang stuff.
The wesen council has been an oddity to me since I heard of it. These people are in a different country, yet have some kind of control over the wesen in the U.S. No offense to anyone, but to me, had they killed these guys off four years ago, it wouldn't have impacted Grimm in the least. Like the episode a couple of weeks back, if a wesen decided to woge, people would just think they were seeing someone in an animal costume.
So Eve's appearance in the last episode as this super weapon really had no bearing on these black claw wesen at all. They're still going forward with their plan, and not one bit afraid of the Wall.
I've got to rant about this for a moment because it's now obvious why she even appeared in the first place......just so Nick could look awestruck and mutter, "Juliette!" (And this makes no sense. She was supposed to be disguised so no one could recognize her).
I really like the idea of an uprising. It's the first real interesting concept these idiot writers have come up with in a while. What would have made total sense was for the Wall to recruit Nick, have some uprisings *in the U.S. that actually generate some real fear*, have Nick and company battling these factions, bring in some real humans to give some depth to the fear as well as bring in fresh ideas on how to fight back........then, down the line, introduce Eve as a super weapon.
But no, they've got to push this Nick/Eve thing in our faces front and center and immediately......ergh. And of course it won't be real unless Adalind comes into the mix.
You know, Adriano, something that occurred to me, even before I read your comments? I had wondered if this uprising was even going to become a reality. I envisioned Nick and Monroe going over to the Black Forest and finding the rest of the keys. And this is yet another plothole since Nick is a Grimm and would be in grave danger over there. Monroe is on the traitor's list so he isn't faring any better. But I digress. They unlock whatever power, stop the uprising, and still have episodes left for Nick, Eve, and Adalind to twiddle around as the dysfunctional family. I sincerely hope it doesn't come to that.
Irukandji, this is a great post that covers many different aspects of this plot line.
I agree with you in many points, and share with you the thinking that the wesen uprising will end up being more like a simple threat than a real damage.
I just think that besides that, the BC is a threat. My point about the council was to say that. The BC has structure and organization to kill all the members of the wesen council. So it is not a small threat.
I think the real question is how big is this threat? And will this threat be a real damage?
It is this point that I think your post shines more. I had to review my opinion in this.
By a strategically point of view I think you are right when questioning Eve's release. You don't show your biggest weapon in the beginning of the war. If you do that, you will give the opponent the opportunity to be prepared for it when the time to fight arrives.
This way, or Meisner released Eve too early... And that is a big mistake by a strategic point of view... Or Eve is not the ultimate weapon and HW has or want something more, like the Grimm keys. What option do you think is the most probably the right one?
Observation : I have the impression the writers sometimes just throw things in the show and after that they simply don't know what to do with it. Maybe that is the case in all of this Eve / Nick plot line.
Now the BC group may think that Nick killed them all with help from the PPD. HW is hidden and Eve is hidden.
I do agree this episode (the way they had Nick in trouble bad idea) was to show the scoobies Eve, but there may have been another point to Eve showing up Renard now knows for fact that HW is out there and Chavez was part of it. Lately have you noted that Renard has been off his game? All season long he has had his doubts both with Hank, Wu, and Nick why are they setting this up? An every time he been proven wrong why? Looks to me like the writers are moving Renard out of the scoobies ranks, and into the Andrew Dixon camp.
I think this idea (may be wrong) fits the strategy part of the thread and I haven't figure out why or how or even a guess. I thought season 4 put Renard in the scooby camp, now I think they are moving him out.
Have you seen a strategy around this?
