The Hexenbiest depicted on the show are certainly multifaceted compared to other Wesen, and a bit confusing at times. I don’t recall other Wesen being capable of removing the Wesen part and only being human.
This is how I have explained Adalind and Juliette to myself: At birth the Hexenbiest is an innate part of the whole, but it can be killed & removed or suppressed without harming the human part. A Hexenbiest can be removed from a dead human and put into another human - Adalind was human when the ritual to give her a Hexenbiest was performed, and a Hexenbiest residing in the witch’s hat (without human form) went into the human Juliette.
So… the Hexenbiest that went into Juliette is obviously very powerful. Isn’t it possible the Hexenbiest that was put into Adalind is also powerful, at least more powerful than Adalind was originally. Maybe Adalind hasn’t realized she’s more powerful than before because she hasn’t had need to instinctively access the greater power.
Not that it displayed any increase in Adalind’s power level, but I noticed when angry at Renard for making advances, she was much more purposeful and fluid in her movement than when showing Nick her power was back. So maybe mind-set and circumstances have some influence.
