I always wanted to know why the grimm didn't destroy the whatever is hidden. I mean, If it is so dangerous why didn't they simply destroy it?
You make think. What if the whatever is hidden is what KEEP the wesen alive as wesen. I mean, if it destroyed, the wesen would all die or at least loose the wesen nature. The royals would want it to blackmail all wesen in the world forcing them to work for the royals. Another option would be Can this treasure easyly transform anyone in wesen?
I've given this some thought myself. My conclusion is that the hidden whatever is a religious artifact. Here's why. That time in history is usually referred to as the Dark Ages or the Middle Ages. But, like the historian Will Durant, I think it is better referred to as the Age of Faith. Virtually every aspect of life in Europe and the Middle East was driven by religious belief. Wars were waged, alliances made, treaties broken, etc...
If what the Grimm Knights hid was indeed a religious artifact then the idea of destroying it would simply never occur to them. They couldn't imagine such sacrilege.
(What sayest thou Sir Burkhardt!! Destroy the Holy Relic!! I would not do that to St. Dismas' toenail, sirrah!!!)
