In this case the Wesen used the gullibility of humanity to either instigate or co-opt religion to ensure they were at the top of the food chain, but inevitably with the abuses that those at the top were likely to have committed, humanity even with all its gullibility, fear and paranoia managed to bring them down. I wouldn't be surprised if the Royals are descendants of Royals from the time of the Egyptians or even before in the Akkadian Empire somewhere round 2400BC who have always known about the Wesen and other secrets and have maintained power and influence over mankind through nefarious methods. Why attribute to magic or religion what can so easily be done by manipulation, blackmail and overt threat of death, isn't that what we fundamentally learn even from a cursory study of humanity through out the ages. And don't be too surprised if religion as well as politics is riddled with Royals and or their sympathisers/puppets ensuring the maintenance of their powerbase in society.
Doctor: You betrayed me … betrayed my trust. You betrayed our friendship, you betrayed everything that I’ve ever stood for. You let me down!
Clara: Then why are you helping me? Doctor: Why? Do you think I care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference?

Stupid theory #2, Wu is really the half/royal bastard. He has cast one spell making everyone think Renard is the royal bastard and another making Renard do his bidding.

@Starfury and Pale Boy. Hey guys. Check out Bitsie Tullochs' new photo on her twitter page. Someone must have told her about our plans for a Grimm noir episode!

I'm not sure how stupid this is, but maybe after they find all the keys, they for some reason will need to gather a group of grimms together, for some major battle or because they need a different grimm to hold each key when unlocking whatever the keys go to. That would give us good story reasons for Truble and learning about Chavez's group (someone tries infiltrating to group to find good trustworthy grimms to help out).

I kind of wondered about the whole "a key was given to 7 different Grimm families." Were there originally only seven families of Grimms, or were some families just chosen above others? I also wondered if Grimms held special powers to unlock the keys' potential or if they were merely the guardians. Interesting more than stupid to me.

And it takes one member of each family to use the keys. This would mean that josh would need to become a grimm. even funnier. it turns out the Trubel and Josh are related, and that is why Josh is not a Grimm.

I wonder if one of the books in the trailer is a family history going back to the start of the grimms. If your theory is right, they'd better have records going back far enough to identify which family at least some of them are from. |
