Not necessarily a bad thing, though it doesn't bode well for Monroe and Rosalee, though it could be an example of the adage' what doesn't kill you makes you stronger'. But I myself wouldn't mind seeing Nick put through the wringer to get his powers back, I want him to learn to fight properly and meet the enemies he's facing without the crutch of being a Grimm. Then once capable of at the very least meeting these enemies on his feet then have him have to go through some harrowing quest where both physically, but more importantly, spiritually and emotionally he has to come to a real decision about being a Grimm, to make a final choice that requires complete and absolute commitment before he can get his powers back, so we can put to bed the hand wringing over being a Grimm, and perhaps we can have Juliette accept his choice finally or sod off and leave Nick to fighting bad guys and finding a spouse and partner who stands beside him in his choices both metaphorically and hopefully literally (my vote is still for Valentina Espinosa as his next love interest, not likely, but we live in hope :p).
Doctor: You betrayed me … betrayed my trust. You betrayed our friendship, you betrayed everything that I’ve ever stood for. You let me down!
Clara: Then why are you helping me?
Doctor: Why? Do you think I care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference?
