ROFLMAO I laughed at the last line of this almost to the point of passing out.

I liked this episode, not because it was the best Grimm episode ever written, acted or thought out, because it showed a some "back to basics" actions for many of the characters.
1. Nick, Hank, and Wu got back to being good solid policemen...using a good mix of human detective work along with bits of Grimm library work. The fact that there was very little in the books about this Wesen made it more interesting to me. I would still like to see the Grimm writers go to a two-week WoW format to allow all story arcs to develop while not scrimping on WoW details and planning. 2. Monroe and Rosalee were back in true form in the spice shop, although I think it was bad form to allow Renard to take Adalind's spell book. [Does Monroe work on clocks anymore?] Monroe was back into his awkward Inspector Clouseau undercover brother mode with a little jealous Rosalee watching over his shoulder. Was a cute married couple's moment. I think I see a more divisive line needing to be drawn...I don't think Monrosalee can help the Renards/Juliettes/Adalinds of the world and still be friends with Nick. It's early days yet, but I already see some conflicts. 3. I found myself laughing at all the pregnancy tests Adalind performed and knew she was going to seek out Viktor before she ever opened her mouth or her door. Finding the king there was an interesting switch, and I am eager to see if she tries to seduce him. That would make Nick's baby and Sean faux half-brothers if she pulls that off...and Adalind and Elizabeth--two H'biests--having slept with the king. Whoa...this family tree seems to have very few branches on it too. That entire royal and white trash thing in common again... 4. Oh Juliette, Juliette, Juliette....mistake after mistake. I dislike that she went back to Renard after avoiding Nick. Live with Renard? Why? She could study up on being an H'biest and live in her house and just tell Nick she needs some time, but perhaps that is too mature. This is going to greatly interfere with Renard and Nick. Does anyone think Nick isn't going to find out? He's a detective; if he gets worried enough, he only has to search her phone GPS to know where's she's been and when. [Side Note: Did anyone besides me get the feeling that Nick was looking peculiarly at Renard when they were discussing the WoW in Renard's office? There was a bit of a chill there IMHO and rightfully so.] 5. Not sure what is going to happen WHEN Adalind comes back around looking for Renard...and Juliette is there. And it will happen the closer the Royals get to Diana. Portland felt VERY weird in this episode.

Rosalee giving the book to Sean was the best move. First it was Sean's mother that helped Nick get his grimm back to help them. Plus it was Sean who marshaled the forces to go and save monroe. I would imagine that Rosale feels she owes Sean. Plus who is Rosalee going to give the book to? Adalind. The book does Rosale no good she can't open it.
I also knew Adalind was going to use Viktor as the baby daddy. The multiple pregnancy test was funny. They should have had way more of them on the counter. Just get ridiculous and have about thirty of them all over the bath room. Have different types, with different boxes. The last one should have came up negative and just as Adalind was getting happy have it change. I find it interesting that the King told Adalind "I would never leave you alone, you are too important". So she went from the dungeon to a cage. There would be know way she could make a move on the king. But the new prince Kenneth is a target. As much as I hate what Adalind has done. I am starting to feel sorry for her. The girl just can't catch a break. Nick is not a very good detective. A dead manticore and he did not find it suspicious. Juliette runs to Sean the first time and he doesn't think to call him now. I do feel that Juliette made a bad choice gong back to SEan. The first visit I understand. Juliette was looking for Sean's mother. But to have somewhere to work it out. She could have turned to her friend Alicia. Alicia is a fuchsbau so Juliette being wesen would not be an issue. Juliette was there when Alicia had a problem so why would Juliette not turn to her friend. It seems like Juliette going to stay with Sean is to get back at Nick. I am sure juliette is going to through the fact she is staying with Sean in Adalind face. At which time Adalind will fire back with "I'am having Nick's baby". This is so "Peyton Place". LOL as we fall off our walkers

Oh, I think he found it suspicious, he just chose not to ask her about it....which is just bizarre and, frankly, out of character. There were many things that Nick should have picked up on or DID pick up on and didn't ask Juliette about: 1 - Her sudden change in behavior 2 - Her nausea and headaches (makes me wonder if the first time he heard that she thought she was pregnant was when she woged) 3 - The peppermill in the middle of the kitchen that inexplicable fell off the counter and hit Juliette's head. 4 - Finding her at the trailer, researching hexenbiests and acting squirelly about it 5 - Her avoidance of his affections 6 - Her claim that he could no longer protect her and she would have to do it herself. 7- And, of course, the ferocious manticore dead on the living room floor....who just happened to "miss." I do think he noticed all of these things and just didn't say anything, which speaks volumes about how good their relationship actually was.

Nick is a person before he is a detective or anything else. People do not see what makes them too uncomfortable to notice. He might not be all that comfortable with thinking something might be 'wrong' with THE person that makes the world worth being in for him. The worlds best detective is going to have a blind spot somewhere. Juliette may be Nicks private blind spot. @busyizzy the book was not Monroe's or Rosalie's to withhold. It had come to them from Elizabeth and to her from Adalind from her mother from where? It is a powerful artifact, an H'biest artifact, needs blood to open it, possibly cursed.... I think they may be like me. If I do not know how to protect myself from it for sure I would be glad to get rid of it. I was and engineering student and have some idea about how to build that most destructive of devices. I also have good survival instincts and know I am missing enough practical experience. I have sense enough to not get the materials and try.

The episode was fine. The guy in the dress was the best part. Oh Juliette, Please change back. I can barely stand this Hexenbiest plot.
