Nick would never fall in love with a Hexenbeist. It's not in their nature. Plus, Hexenbeists are just nasty and untrustworthy. That's in their nature. And Adaline knows this. If Adaline is just a regular human, then there's a chance at a romance between her and Nick.
See, it's that kind of pessimistic outlook that keeps putting me off the show every time I try to get back into it. Henrietta hinted a relationship between a Grimm and a Hexenbiest could possibly work, only for the writers to opt for the bleakest and most depressing outcome for Juliette's story. I'm convinced they did this purely for the sake of being sadistic to the fans.
If all Hexenbiests are innately evil and have to be killed on sight, doesn't that prove the witch-hunters of the 15th to 18th centuries had the right idea all along? The show needs to make up its damn mind about whether it's siding with the persecuted or the persecutors.
Look, I know what you're talking about. I get it. I was a Juliette fan too! I loved it when she got involved. But, then simple fact is the writers took her character in another direction. And hand it to Bitsie and her acting chops. She got me liking her character to hating her character really quick. I hated when she burned up the trailer. I was disgusted with her when she slept with both Renard AND Kenneth. I was pissed that she almost killed Monroe. But, THAT'S what happens when you're a hexenbeist! You turn into something not nice!
Adaline was a pain when she was a Hexenbeist We didn't know Henrietta well enough to know how bad she COULD have been. And Renards mother. We thought that she was helping out because her son asked her to. And she did, she got Nicks powers back with the help of Renards mother and Juliette. But, Renards mother told her that there might be some "Side effects" but nothing to worry about and then she skipped town. SHE KNEW damn well what the side effects were going to be and didn't bother to tell them. Then, we know how Juliette was when she turned Hexenbeist. All I'm saying is nothing good has come from any Hexenbeist on this show. They are really evil or they are massive back stabbers. Therefore, that's probably why Adaline doesn't want to be a hexenbeist anymore. She knows her potential to be bad.
Kind of ironic if you ask me. Last season, we had a human that didn't want to be a hexenbeist (at first) and this season we have a hexenbeist that wants to be human.
