We have seen that Adalind is very capable of changing. If she can go from being the antagonist to the hero of the story to being his girlfriend, what's a little a change in helping the same man fight bad wesen? I have absolutely zero difficulty in seeing this. The show even confirms Adalind helping. She's not playing some trophy wife whose purpose is to only be decorative. You're the one who refuses to accept Adalind helping Nick actively because we weren't shown every week while Eve was the hexenbiest he worked with. The show never strictly said Adalind wasn't helping Nick, her helping him was always framed around raising baby Kelly at the fome. A grown Kelly changes that set up and makes her more active. Whatever Nick's issues with his girlfriend participating in what he does for a living is not law that says they can't or shouldn't defy him. Nick couldn’t stop Juliette/Eve or Adalind from helping if they chose to help. He's incredibly dense but not so extremely chauvinistic and sexist as to forbid them because he doesn't want them to get hurt.
