What kind of music do you guys listen to? Go ahead and list whole genres, bands, musicians, acts, whatever you like.
I'll get the ball rolling:
I'm very eclectic, but have currently been on a kick with Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds. I also listen to Gothic Rock, Punk, Post-Punk, New Wave, krautrock, glam rock ... *cough*folk music*cough* and classical music. I love a lot of stuff from the late 70s through the early nineties so I can be amazingly ignorant about current acts, although some of the people I listen to are still producing music (like the Bad Seeds and David Bowie but to name two).
I'm not an expert by any means but more of a devoted dilettante or dabbler. I have more Pandora stations than I should. I think that Nick Cave, Tom Waits, and Leonard Cohen are lyrical gods.
If I was stuck on a desert island, my three picks for musical selections would, without a doubt, be David Bowie, Nick Cave, and Bob Dylan. I'd also like to add Beethoven's Grand Fugue ... I'd never get bored.
And though I sound like a burgeoning snob by this point, I'm always open to new music. Except dubstep. I shake my cane at that one.
