Syscrash,
I may disagree with others people opinion but I would never try to diminish their opinion because actually everything we have here is that: only opinion. Even when someone like you try to paint an opinion as a real truth, the truth is out there (as X File would say) but what we get from it is just an interpretation of reality.
Your values, yours believes, your history of life…. All of this will play a hole in the way you frame the information you get from reality and how you evaluate each information. Even when you are describing a real fact with all the details, you will always focus in the details that somehow support your own opinion. Everyone does it. I do and I know it. That is why I always make it clear that I am giving my opinion or my view of reality.
Who told you that when someone here consider that a character is lying it necessarily mean the writers are lying? The writers can perfectly write characters capable of lye and trick. Actually, that was said in the show about hexenbiests by Henrietta. Isn’t it?
Why should everyone in the forum trust in Juliette/Eve in the same way you do? I agree with Irukandji that Juliette had no reasons to lie to Nick. But I also understand people that doesn’t trust the character and believe she is fully capable of lying. Again, if a member of the forum says Juliette was lying it doesn’t mean the writers are lying. And I think the writers want the viewers to see the characters and trust them or not. They don’t want everyone to have the same relation with the characters. It is that different perspective that allows the debates and different views about the show. I can’t see why I am supposed to see one view as right and the others as wrong as you apparently do.
To if the writers say something I take it as partially the truth because I am humble enough to recognize that what I understood from what the writers said was contaminated with my own perspective. Then I come to the forum to read about others people perspective and then try to have a more complete view of reality. But there are some people that believe their perspective is the only, full and inviolable truth.
