What you're saying isn't a revelation here. I know exactly what was put forth for viewers to swallow. The writers undermined Juliette's honesty and integrity by turning her into the evil hexenbiest for what really amounts to no reason. And IMO, while Nick never had a lot of honesty and integrity to begin with, his relationship with Juliette was not one where those ideals were ever called into question. They loved each other, were good friends, and supported one another for the first four years of the relationship. Yet all of the sudden, the writers throw all of that out the window for a storyline that doesn't make a lot of sense with regard to the characters themselves.
I agree with Hexenadler. That storyline doomed the series.
