I would not say prostitute. I'd rather say - Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.
I've never complained about Adalind's former lovers. I do not care about that - with whom she slept. I just don't care.
And I've never said that I agree with some of Juliette's actions. Some was understandable, some was stupid, some useless.
Sometimes, we seem to forget that we are discussing fictional characters of a fictional/fantasy show. I just find it hard to see how some try to defend a character that was written as becoming evil. In the same breath, as much as I liked the Nick character, If I had written him, I would have given him more of a backbone and to be more forthcoming with his inamorata.
As we critique these characters, some of us develop opposing views, which I believe, are based on our own life experiences. Without me hashing out my own life's experiences (dirty laundry). One thing I can attest, my life, so far hasn't been so perfect.
Over the years, I have learned a lot. Which is usually from making lots of mistakes. Hence the "learning a lot". So, when I express an opinion, I based it o how I would have reacted and in turn, the reciprocal behavior I have experienced from my counterparts.
Maybe if I was much younger when this show was created, some of my critiques, lacking the experiences I have accumulated over the years, I would have opinionated differently.
But then, we see Juliette sleeping in the fome, in the same bed Nick was sleeping in, before he hooked up with Adalind. We see Nick prancing around shirtless in shorts/underpants and Evette just wrapped in a towel. Was that right out of a frekin Jerry Springer Show? I was actually expecting a scene of Adalind coming fome and catching Nick and Evette having a tryst. WTF?
I just find it nuts how some try to defend a character, IMO, was written to be over-the-top un-defendeble.
Hey, syscrash, how is that "shot across your bow" for "writers intent".
You know you are OLD, when you see the Slide Ruler you used in college selling in an ANTIQUE SHOP!!
