Only two shows before "Iron Hans" where Adalind pressured by Ken went to tell Nick the truth that he was the father of her baby.

Juliette asks if Adalind is with him because she wants to kill her, and Renard says that's a good idea. He tells Juliette that they are staying at the Hotel deLuxe, and Juliette starts taking her shirt off. Renard asks what she is doing, and she says, "Finishing what we started." She rubs his lip and asks if it hurts. Renard grabs her wrist and tells her it does. She tells him, "So will this," and they begin kissing.
Adalind is responsible for what happened to Juliette. Juliette asked Renard for help. If I remember correctly, she wanted to know where Adalind was. Renard told her. That is not trying to kill Adalind. He's leaving it up to Juliette to kill Adalind. *IF* she wants to. He's not even telling Juliette to kill her. They are two different things.
Telling Juliette it was a good idea and giving her an address she could not have gotten on her own is trying to get Adalind killed. You say that Sean has never been mean to Adalind late in the show and IMO this disproves of that completely.
If a person hands someone who wants to die a gun tells them to shot themselves is that person at fault for the suicide?
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.
