Conrad Bonaparte read Adalind's future??? - Kathryn Wooten - 01-29-2017

...maybe Conrad was not only threatening Adalind , but seemed to fore told her future. As he put the cursed ring on her finger He said That Renard is her prince and she is his princess and how he liked happy fairy tales.
Ws Conrad telling her that Adalind would change her mind about Sean???

If so, it was much ado about nothing. Adalind would never risk leaving Renard while Bonaparte was alive. And if Bonaparte’s intent was to prevent her leaving should he die, the ring doesn’t appear to prevent that. In fact, so far the ring doesn’t appear to cause or prevent anything. Adalind has willingly worked against Renard and BC for Nick's benefit/protection. She's now left Renard, taken Diana, and is getting cozy with Nick. And whatever spell/curse Bonaparte placed on the ring isn’t causing a problem.

My original question about the seemingly ineffective ring was - are G&K waiting until Nick & Adalind have sex before showing the ring’s repercussions. And what exactly will happen to the children while they’re gettin’ busy.

Are you thinking that at some point the ring will make Adalind believe she suddenly loves Renard, cause her to betray Nick for Renard’s benefit? That could actually be an interesting scenario. Adalind under the ring's spell/control wouldn't be willingly betraying Nick, but the outcome would be just as bad.

As far as we have seen she still have the ring on..sooner or later she either don't believe anything Conrad threaten and takes it off and something happen to the children , because sooner rather than later Nick will make a decision about that ring..I dod not Believe she would keep it on
But remember Conrad threaten her with the kids if she took it off,,,not that she is kissing other men or moving in with them....it's all about taking the ring off.

It could be that having sex with Nick could have a consequence. So far sex has been the catalyst for most spells. Also sex is used as a sign of infadelity. Kissing is no longer used as a marker. The rule is no sex before marriage. Not no kissing before marriage.

I have been wondering if something else will activate the ring into action. For instance, what if Nick proposes to Adalind while she's wearing the ring and the ring retaliates.....against him?

But that brings us back to the question of what was the point of forcing Adalind to wear a ring for the sake of wearing it. Because if Adalind’s actions or lack of don’t have consequences, that’s all Bonaparte did - force her to wear an expensive piece of jewelry. The ring hasn’t forced Adalind to stay with Renard or be loyal to his/BC’s cause, and simply wearing the ring doesn’t make Adalind a princess to Renard’s prince.

I like the speculation that at some point the ring’s spell will make Adalind love/be loyal to Renard and betray Nick. G&K love Nick drama, and that would definitely provide Nick with personal drama. Just as he’s warming to the idea of wanting/loving Adalind, and possibly trusting her, she suddenly flip-flops to Renard.

I do think the obsession with the stick, maybe and will drive a wedge between Adalind and Nick , before the ring do

Did Bonaparte's body get disposed of like the rest?

Yes all the bodies were taken to the storm drain that leads to the ocean/sea

would have been interesting if Renard's ring and wore it, which would explained his power hungry conquest at all cost

In an interview shortly after the S5 finale, G&K said the ring will cause problems for Nick/Adalind. They may have changed their mind and will have Adalind throw caution to the wind and take the ring off without anything happening to the children because she realizes Bonaparte was simply using fear to keep her inline. Or maybe Rosalee will find a counter spell as lickety-split as she flipped a few pages and knew why the corpse grabbed hold of Juliette.

The first three episodes strongly indicate that Juliette is bubbling to the forefront, so G&K may have decided the conflict will be Nick choosing between the woman is truly loves and his obligation to Kelly & his mother. Of course, the biggest conflict could be Diana as the big bad and Nick determined to destroy her.

Renard would be able to make the decision to destroy Diana rather than allow her to devastate the world. And Renard siding with Nick/Juliette against Adalind would circle the story back to why Diana exists and Team Grimm originally taking Diana from Adalind.
