The computers would have been turned over to White Collar Crimes Division to try to recover data and trace where the stolen money went and determine if there was anyone else involved in the thefts. The show didn’t adhere to police procedures unless pertinent to a specific story. Chavez had already warned Nick either “they’re coming” or “they’re here” and suspects kept saying “Occultatum Libera” which Monroe translated as “free the hidden”. So while Nick didn’t have sufficient information to understand Chavez’s warning, he’d been a Grimm long enough to know things are rarely as they seem. He may not have realized the woman was frantically deleting files from the computer, but it’s reasonable that he’d want any available info that might reveal their true agenda or at least confirm they were only embezzling money for personal financial gain and willing to kill for it.
From a more personal wish list approach - Wu and Adalind working together in the loft, Wu retrieving data and Adalind utilizing her legal experience to follow the money trail, would have given her something to do rather than sit around waiting for Nick to come home and made her an active participant in what became known as Black Claw while providing Adalind and Nick an opportunity to work as allies in addition to parenting partners. Who knows, they might have actually had a conversation about their violent history and how Renard was the common denominator in many of their woes.
