I wouldn't say there wasn't a chemistry between them. They worked hard and in my opinion, succeeded at not having a romantic chemistry, once Juliette became a hexenbiest.
But the thing I found they couldn't hide was their chemistry as friends. Juliette was always Nick's friend up until she became the hexenbiest. After she became Eve, the friendship was different but there was still that connection between them.
I can't say Adalind and Nick's chemistry was better because I saw changes to the character of Adalind. I don't mean as a mother, she was fine in that aspect. But in order to even get with Nick all of the sudden she had to be the domesticated mouse. She wasn't fun anymore like she used to be.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
