I always assumed Nick bought the house and was living there when Juliette moved in because they decided to live together. But that’s all it ever was - an assumption on my part.
When Nick temporarily moved in with Monroe, I assumed again that Nick was accommodating Juliette because she was the one dealing with the memory crisis. It would have been rather callous for him to tell Juliette if she needed time alone to deal with her personal problems she should move out since he was a big factor in her being in that predicament. And I think Nick felt that their home, not a physical structure, but a home they shared, was as much Juliette’s as it was his.
