This is unarguably true and because of this, I'm wondering why this thread was created at all.

Kelly faking her death and leaving when Nick was twelve can be argued as a good mother who sacrificed to keep her son safe or as selfish mother who chose being a Grimm over her son. Neither argument is absolutely right or wrong.
Considering Kelly seemed to live by the only good Wesen is a dead Wesen rule - she had issues with Nick being friends with Monroe & Rosalee - I wonder if Nick would be a different Grimm if he’d grown up with his mother’s influence.
Would Kelly have informed Nick of his Grimm heritage, began training him at an early age? Would she have instilled in Nick that Wesens by nature are dangerous and untrustworthy? If Nick had been prepared for becoming a Grimm would there even be a Nick/Monroe/Rosalee friendship?
I won’t go so far as to say Kelly is bad because she kidnapped Diana or she left Nick at an early age. Not understanding or being able to relate to a person’s motivation doesn’t make their decisions/actions wrong. But I do believe Nick would have been much different growing up with Kelly. I’m just not sure if I would like him more or less.
The thing about Kelly, like her or not, she doesn’t bother with justifying her actions. She commits and acts, and doesn’t give a damn whether someone agrees or not.
She did not kidnap Diana at lease not from Renard, but you could say she kidnapped it from Adaline because she was a unbeknownst person who was not on the decision
