ID's them, gives their life history, and no one in the squad room bats an eye. At least they should have gone to an interview room. The writers must want the show to become so unreal no one will watch it

Especial since last night was off book. They could have even played the scene the same way just change the opening conversation. don't make it an attention getting statement. If they where portraying the police station as being normally rowdy then yes Trubel's entry would have played well. So my only guess the writers where trying to establish Trubel as rowdy CI. Her last time in there she was a runaway suspected of murder. Nicks reply of would have been nice to know who I was suppose to kill supported Trubel's image but throughs Nick's way off. I do notice something about this new Trubel. She is bad ass Trubel with everyone except Nick. With Nick she still comes off as the scared little girl that Nick took in. Which is why it makes it really uncomfortable when you see Trubel keeping things from him.

Did you note in 5x7 Trubel used hand to hand to win the fight not her blade. I saw that as training from Meisner. We seen the weapons in her room one was a sniper rifle so she been trained in weapons also. This should add up to very deadly Grimm. Now she is better trained in these areas than Nick. Granted they have different roles was just a note on Trubel.

When we see Trubel's lair, to the right of the door as you enter (to the left from the viewer's vantage) there is Mook Joong/Mook Jong (see footnote #1). Some little girl has been practicing her close range hand to hand combat tactile stimulation skills. Footnote(s): A Mook Joong/Mook Jong is a Wing Chun fighting dummy. A solo training tool used extensively by Wing Chun practitioners to develop the tactile skills so necessary in that style. Wing Chun is a short range fighting system that was supposedly designed to create effective martial artists in a more reasonable 3 years period as opposed to the 10 years necessary for Shaolin based methods. As a side note, it is very adaptable to bladed weapons. In fact on of the two weapons used in the system are the Chinese butterfly swords, something that would be right up Trubel's alley (the other being the dragon pole (staff to the rest of us)

@jsgrimm45, syscrash and izzy. I have to disagree with you about Truble now being the "master". Yeah, she's good and has had some more serious training now. But, she is also young and somewhat deficient in discretion.
This is one of the things I have liked about Nick's character. He has often crossed the line, because he felt he had no other choice, but he has tried, when he can, to be a good law enforcement officer and treat everyone the same. If, he can prove it without getting locked in the looney bin, it's basically: " You do the crime, you do the time. And I don't care who the heck you are."

Nick the cop now has Trubel the full time Grimm 5x7 was a good play on that new setup got the bad guy without police involvement. For me the fantasy person works.

I am starting to dislike Truble and I don't want to do so, but her character is actually out of character x_x, she has several phobias and traits that are just no being portrayed anymore (her love/protectiveness for kids, her fear of cops, her loyalty and love to the team), that, mixed with Nick not using his abilities and using her as a hitman instead of treating her as his once apprentice/nearly adopted kid is kind of cringe worthy. Her character seems kind of forced now, I hope that the writers give us a reason for that.

Now I also started to wonder if it HW is the choice and how they want things. Like when she said we need to know who we can count on. That is kind of black white statement is this just a phase for Trubel or a change? Nick and the Scooby's can work the Portland area better than HW and I think get better results as long as they don't jump at working for HW. HW way may turn off some wesen who would work with Nick alone. Where do we see this going?

@Al Samil and JS. I kind of see Truble's character going in the same direction you have recently. Not that she has turned evil or anything, just that she has become more of a 'pure' warrior. Not sure I like that change.
I can understand how it would happen. Once she was always on the run and afraid, now she is the hunter! That can go to a person's head! But, perhaps that is where the writer's are headed. She gets her over inflated ego as^ in deep sh&t and big brother has to get her out.! Just a thought.
