Instead, I notice how seamlessly everyone seems to have moved on without her. Nick hardly missed a beat, no one even talks about how they handled her disappearance and no one appears to be too bummed about the fact she's not around.
TBH, I think that's either a product of simple bad writing, or a calculated move on the writers' part to get our minds off Juliette, so we can be effectively sucker-punched when she comes back.
I'm more annoyed with their refusal to give Juliette any real backstory beyond "Nick's girlfriend." Her biography on the official Grimm wiki is one sentence long, for crying out loud:
Quote:Juliette was of Spanish descent and lived with her grandmother in Spain for an unknown amount of time when she was younger, and while living in Spain, she became fluent in Spanish.
The fact absolutely no one has turned up in Portland asking questions about Juliette's sudden disappearance from the face of the Earth is also stupid as hell. You could argue her parents are dead (even though that's never been confirmed), but are you seriously trying to tell me she has no living brothers? Sisters? Aunts? Uncles? Cousins? Old schoolmates? Various acquaintances she's made in the previous four seasons? She was completely alone in the world? That goes way, WAY past story convenience; that's just the writers ignoring a whopper of a plot hole in the hope the audience will too.
