Note that Nick's aunt Marie did have cancer. He loved her and showed compassion to the end. Renard however ordered a hit on Marie.
I think it's been pointed out that we really don't know Aunt Marie's past, and she was not friendly to Monroe. In Renard's defense, he is part zauerbiest and Aunt Marie would not have looked upon him kindly, her being a Grimm.
I've always considered Renard a slimy character, but Nick has steadily been quickly sliding down into the slimy path as of late. At this point, I can't say which of them is worse.
New Guy, your post indicated that Juliette has a delusion, and that
Renard took advantage of that delusion to satisfy his carnal lust. What delusion do you believe Juliette is suffering from? And why would her delusion be of interest to him?
While I consider Renard to be a slimy character who has his own agenda, I don't ever recall him considering Juliette as part of that agenda. When she came to him after her transformation and asked for help, I got the impression he was genuinely concerned with getting help for her. In my opinion, where Juliette was concerned Renard succeeded with flying colors whereas Nick failed miserably. I think that's one reason why she made the conscious choice to sleep with him. It will be interesting to see how Renard reacts to her death.

On Juliette's end either Renard or Kenneth would have been a better match for her. They are both established, authoritative, cultured, well educated and wealthier. And dare i say it, both are head and shoulders above Nick in the looks department. Suddenly I no longer blame Juliette.
When Renard and Juliette first got together after Juliette's memory loss, I thought they had a terrific chemistry going for them. I have to think some more about Juliette slumming as I'm still not sure about that. I couldn't see that theory at first because she was with Nick and seemed to be content with him. But after seeing her as a hexenbiest, the yearning more powerful men makes complete sense to me. It also makes sense about other things Juliette has done, like not accepting Nick's proposals. I give the woman snaps. She was much more honest to Nick than he ever was to her.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
