Did Adalind sign a contract or didn't she?

I remember a contract in the presence of Adalind and I remember the gypsy queen grab her wrist and force her hand on the contract. I could be wrong but if I am right thats a forced or coerced signature and a non-binding contract in a court of law.
You know you are OLD, when you see the Slide Ruler you used in college selling in an ANTIQUE SHOP!!

A contract to sell her child. Trafficking in children is illegal in all 50 states of the US and the entire EU. It might as well have been a contract to sell the Brooklyn Bridge.

I assumed that once Kelly got Diana AND Adalind to their destination, Kelly would do what Kelly has always done. She would go back to being a grimm. If Kelly was working for the resistance (we do not know) and she was going to make sure that either the royals or the resistance could use Diana as a weapon, she had to change her mission and she had no safe place to transport Diana and Adalind. That’s why Kelly and the child was constantly on the move, so no one could trace them. Kelly had good intentions and the plan worked in the sense that the royals were unable to find them without the help from a "trusted ally" – Juliette. When they found out about each other's background, I see no way Kelly could truly trust Adalind or the other way around. I don't see how Kelly, Adalind and Diana could live together and constantly move around in hide of the royals. There would soon be conflicts that could undermine the entire operation. Thats why a felt zero sympathy for Nick when he lost his powers because the scobbies brought that whole situation upon themselves. They kidnapped Adalinds child and lied to her about it leaving her childless, homeless and desperate did they really not expect it to come back and bit them on the ass, they should have handled that whole situation a lot better. There is no doubt that taking away Diana was cruel to Adalind. It’s easy to have sympathy for her, and I have always defended Adalind's actions to get Diana back. She suffered more than most. But in defense of Nick and the scobbies, Adalind was still a villain in their eyes and they handled a threat they were told could “change the course of history”. Thankfully she got a better life in the end.

And why did Adalind feel she could sign the contract?

Because at that point in the series she was a self-centered person with no sense of ethics or morality who would probably have been willing to sell the baby of a random pregnant woman on the street to get her powers back.

I do not consider that your moral- of Adalind - had to do with that.
She was not aware of her pregnancy, did not care about the baby. The gypsy queen prevented Adalind from drinking alcohol. What Adalind would "probably do" really has nothing to do with this though. The fact is she entered into a magical contract and was considered the custodial parent. According to your own post, Renard himself arranged for Adalind's escape with Diana. That seems to indicate to me that he also was willing to hand over full custodial parenting rights to Diana. And as of yet, I haven't seen one word of disagreement that the contract was not a valid one. The entire operation was undermined the minute the plane was ordered to Portland. Kelly further screwed it up by appearing on Nick's doorstep. She really messed up by bringing Nick and company into her nefarious scheme of kidnapping Diana. All Kelly had to do was report that there was trouble in South America and wait for a contingency plan. If she had, the plane would have never landed in Portland. The thing you also seem to forget is that Kelly was absolutely stone cold unfeeling by leaving Adalind behind. I'm not talking about the cruelty in forcing a mother from her child. I'm talking about leaving Adalind vulnerable. There was nothing stating that Adalind's life was oh so perfectly safe simply because she was parted from Diana.
