You make an interesting observation on this whole Human/Wesen relationship, but you forget to include Human and Wesen factors in the mix.
As an example. if you study Communism, you would think, in it's purity, it wold be a great idea. we all work as what we are able to do for the "COMMON GOOD" and , Bingo, we all get along with no needs and wants, since, all is provided for. What fails in "Communism" is the "Human Factor". Some humans are greedy. This is why the idea fails.
As we see in the TV show presented to us, Humans and Wesen alike all had their greedy version of each other, in their mist. Whether it was 50,000 ago or in modern day Portland. What screws up the works is the greed in some of the Humans and the Wesen. This, IMO, is why the Humans/Wesen relationship failed. If it failed amongst themselves, how could it succeed between both worlds?
Hey dicappatore, thank you for your post.
Maybe I wasn't as clear as I would like to have being. But my ideas is based also on your view about the human factor.
To be more precise, when I wrote about the evolution of humans X wesen X grimm, I think all of them are just selfish. Everything each individual think about is his own survival and them the survival of his own genes (the descendants).
All decisions (mainly in that period of time) I think is based on that. So, a grimm gourp would work with humans if this give than a better chance to survive. The same goes to wesen. A weak wesen group would die fighting alone against a stronger wesen group. this way, they would have better chances if they work with a human group or/and a grimm group.
In the moment the battle stop or the conditions change and the weak wesen group can change agaisnst the human. The opposite can happen too.
So I agree with you in this point (and about the communisn too, just for the records... )
That is also how I saw it. Wesen had the same faults as humans. The differences are as simple as looking at the 3 different Wesen types we saw when Juliette is exposed to the Wesen world by Monroe, Rosalee and Bud. There we saw a very aggressive type, A lesser aggressive one and a passive one. Yet in those 3 Wesen lives they all 3 got along fine without any issues. Would 500 years plus earlier, would they have gotten along the same way? Would Monroe have married Rosalee? Would they have had a few drinks with Juliette after they all 3 voge? I do not think so.
You know you are OLD, when you see the Slide Ruler you used in college selling in an ANTIQUE SHOP!!
