Even when Adalind was a villain I liked her because she showed flashes of vulnerability and was complex in a way I never found Renard as I always took him for a villain even when he was working with the scoobies I still always thought he was just using the gang. That’s why I may have disliked his turn to BC but wasn’t one bit surprised because I always just thought of him as a villain in hiding I never found him as complex as you did to me he was always just a straight villain. So while I enjoyed Sasha Roiz the actor I disliked Renard because he never done anything to get me to care about him even remotely.Ah, okay. Since Renard was created to be a villain in the story, I expected him to be villainous. What impressed me about the character and the actor was Renard’s seamlessly comfortable fit in the ‘good guy’ and ‘bad guy’ camps, regardless of his true intent. Do you think a well rounded show provides characters for viewers to hate or do you prefer recurring characters only be good guys defeating a different bad guy each episode?
