In episode 2 she plays with a little teddy bear in front of his face before leaving him with Rosalee. In 5x19 she cries with Kelly in her arms in a very emotional scene before leaving Nick. She brings Kelly to work with her at the law firm and is playful with him.
henry, since you brought up the work scene, I'll address that because that was an irritant to me as far as Adalind was concerned. Bringing Kelly to her workplace was not a measure of Adalind's love for her baby. Adalind did it because she either didn't want or couldn't find someone to watch the baby. But if you consider, little Kelly was strapped into a carseat for the majority of the workday. When she took Kelly with her to meet Renard, Kelly was in his car seat.
I don't think Adalind is an awful mother, Kelly. I'm just saying that if she's vowing at a grave to be better mother to her kids, little things like taking her baby out his car seat, or setting him on the floor to crawl would go a long ways toward showing us that she meant to stick by her word. But none of this makes her an awful mother henry. Kelly was clean, alert, responded to her. That says a lot for Adalind.
