The fact that the two grimms are related how do you think he thought it would affect the mission? It’s irrelevant that viewers know Kelly is Nick’s mother. Were there scenes that confirmed Tavitian knew? Had Nick told Renard his mother was alive prior to the Adalind/Diana storyline? Did Renard tell Tavitian or anyone else? Tavitian knowing is a point of interest, but it doesn’t point to him being the mole. If anything, it points to my theory that if Tavitian was planning the mission to be a failure he would have selected someone who was working the scam with him or who would likely fail to take down the awaiting Verrat agents. If Tavitian was the mole and already knew Kelly was related to Renard’s Grimm, it doesn’t make sense for him to select Kelly to meet Meisner at the airstrip.
I don’t have reason to believe Tavitian is absolutely loyal to the Resistance, but I don’t have any reason to believe he isn’t based on what little the show revealed about him. And I keep going back to the mole not being a major plot twist that the show expanded on. It was used only to provide Kelly a valid reason not to follow the original plan and Kelly and Renard to betray the Resistance.
The only argument that points to Tavitian is that he failed to keep Adalind and Diana from the Royals. If that’s the case, Nick failing to keep Diana from the Royals in S4 and keep Adalind and Kelly from BC in S5 could point to him being a mole.
