Just a few observations:
Monroe never said ANYTHING about the staff being broken into pieces. The seven Grimms who (presumably) trapped Z in the other place buried the stick under a church in the Black Forest, sealed the box with the magic powers of Grimm blood, before everyone probably went their separate way with one key each. That way, the staff could never regain its full powers, making it possible for Z to control the world.
What Monroe said was that the staff Zerstoerer was shown carrying in his family Bible “had a lot of cracks in it” and that “if it's as old as this one, it would make sense it had a bunch of cracks in it”. He never said anything about the staff being separated into pieces. He then went on to take about how David used the staff to kill Goliath and that “David left this exact staff to his descendants, and the Davidic kings used it as a scepter until the destruction of the temple, when it miraculously disappeared”.
Again, we are getting personal preferences completely overriding the storyline. To ask why Diana and not Eve was the potential bride for Z, despite the time spent establishing Diana as a character with extraordinary powers that would shape history, is really strange. Had Diana not been the target, all the fuss around her powers and place in history would have been meaningless.
As for Diana brining Nick and Eve back – it was really the stick/staff. When Nick went true the mirror the first time, he used the stick because he did not want Adalind to open the portal with her blood, after discovering hexenbiest blood was” the currency". Later, when Monroe, Adalind and Renard was taking about whether Adalind should open the gate so Renard could go through, Monroe suggested that Diana could do it. Adalind was against, but Diana heard it and did it behind their backs. She used the stick. If the stick could open the gate from one side, the staff, which was one hundred times stronger, could obviously open it from the other side. In addition, hexenbiest blood could also open the portal.
Nick and the Grimms did not simply beat Z to death. When Nick picked up the staff the stick was reunited with the wand, giving Nick the power to kill Z
with a fatal stab through the chest.
Sadly, or funny (depending on how you view it), it is impossible to get any posts without the standard anti-Nick tirades. One again it is claimed that Nick was not intelligent. This is a false statement, but if the criteria are the ability to survive, Nick should be declared a genius - considering that someone tried to kill him all the time. Also considering how Nick easily outsmarted Renard in season 6, someone seems to think Renard was a vegetable…
