Hell Rell,
Sean wouldn't know anything either and Adalind was due in a week. Can you think of reason why Juliette would have been mad enough to turn on Nick that day if Adalind had not been at the station or had seen Sean or Nick first?
My guesses:
1) If Adalind had never talked to Nick or Sean, Juliette could have taken the baby's dna at the hospital and once it was confirmed to be Nick's, Juliette could taken the baby to give to mama Kelly for Nick. That would have cool off some of Juliette's angry at Adalind and Adalind could done nothing about it.
2) If Adalind had shown up later at the station after Juliette, Nick and Sean would have thought she was working with Ken to trick them. Juliette could done one and checked out the baby and not been mad at Nick.
What do you think?
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.
