She through in the suppression so Juliette would not kill her. Even after Nick was suppose to give Juliette the suppressant. Adalind was ready to leave think Juliette could no longer kill her.
In all of those conversation it was about Juliette killing her not once did she show concern for Juliette killing the child.
Even in the police station she told Nick to protect his child from Juliette not protect her child or their child. When Wu asked is everything all right. Adalind did not say she is trying to kill the child. She said Juliette is trying to kill me.
Yes she never expect Nick to help as much as he did. But she did look to him to save her. Not until the fome she had expected Nick to be involved with Kelly. Even in the fome her concerned was what was she going to do. Not once did she suggest would Nick take care of Kelly if she couldn't.
Ken made it clear his was not going protect Adalind or her baby especially from Juliette.
As you pointed out many times in the past, Juliette could not or would not kill Adalind. Juliette would been fine killing the baby inside Adalind which is much easier to do. Once the baby was born, Adalind thought Nick, Kelly, or Juliette or combination was going to take her son. That is why she kept asking at Bud's house if she was going to be allowed to keep her baby. Mama Kelly had Diana why not have her raise her grandson, Diana's half brother, with her.
Nick was babysitting his son all the time based on what Adalind said to Rosalee.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.
