I'm not on twitter. I don't even know how it works. Shatner and Takei have feuded for years. I remember watching television when they were both on, but not in the same place, and they were going back and forth. It really wasn't much of a feud though because while they were throwing barbs at one another, they were doing it cordially, and in some cases, laughing. The only other cast member I know of that Shatner had problems with was James Doohan, and I had heard they reconciled before Doohan passed away. If Deforest Kelly and Leonard Nimoy had anything to say, they kept it to themselves. I do believe Takei's problem is professional jealousy. According to this internet article, he was also miffed that Star Trek never introduced a gay love story during it's run. Now that I find completely unbelievable.
Star Trek introduced the first scripted interracial kiss between Uhura and Kirk, and while it caused a sensation, it did little to promote interracial relationships on television. A gay relationship might have cancelled the series right then and there.
And speaking of the first interracial kiss, this article threw a bombshell by stating the kiss was supposed to take place between Spock and Uhura, but Shatner blustered his way into it all by stating Uhura should be kissing him, not Spock. And so, he got his way. This I also find unbelievable. The whole gist of the story was to get Kirk to allow Dr. McCoy to stay behind and treat the Platonians. Kirk refused, and Parmen humiliates him in order to get him to comply.
I have read several snippets on this kiss, including the one I just mentioned. Another indicated that the NBC honchos wanted the kiss out of the script, but Shatner kept deliberately screwing it up, and so, to save money, the kiss was allowed. I believe Nichelle Nichols confirmed that rumor. Shatner is a prankster so this wouldn't surprise me at all.
There was also speculation that viewers interpreted this kiss to mean something else entirely. In other words, Kirk did not want to kiss Uhura because she was African American. I have watched that kiss many times, and Shatner reacts as though he is being forced to kiss Uhura, so the kiss is not his usual standard. The man knows how to kiss, that's apparent. But in view of the script, his reaction makes perfect sense to me. Kirk doesn't like to be forced to do anything, and he has too much respect for Uhura to go into a full throttle kiss. It didn't work for the Platonians either as they were unhappy with the result.
I suspect that, if the Platonians had been happy with their puppets, Kirk might have been forced to sexually assault Uhura, but that would have been too much for 60s television.

The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
