Maybe I'm missing something here, but I don't recall one person actually ever getting to the point of controlling Diana and thus, using her powers for his/her own means. Was there someone along the way that I might be missing here?

But believe it or not, Adalind was the one who seemed the least concerned with Diana's powers. That had nothing to do with why she wanted her back or her promise to raise her right along with Kelly.
Adalind and Renard weren't concerned about Diana using her powers on others. It was only when the use of her powers affected them directly did they express concern.

It’s not farfetched that Diana bonded with Adalind first, or that when confronted with her mother wanting them to live with Nick she chose to remain with her mother rather than live with her father.
I understand you're not going debate this further and that's fine, I respect that. When I say that Diana didn't bond with Adalind, I am talking about the baby Diana, not Diana recently returned by BC. I don't think Diana was with Adalind long enough for any real bonding to occur. I also think by the time Diana was restored to Adalind it was too late for any bonding to occur.
In regard to the latter half of your statement, Diana didn't choose to remain with her mother rather than live with her father. Renard and Adalind shared custody of Diana. She lived with both of them. I cannot recall the exact circumstances, but I thought it was Nick who told her she wouldn't have to give up Diana, she could share her with Renard. That makes total sense because there wasn't a lot of room at the loft for her, plus it gave some insight into how Renard dealt with fatherhood. I actually found him to be a charming father. I couldn't get enough of him and Diana interacting with one another.
Hate to intereput but are we watching the same show. I have been reading your posts and I am wondering are you sure you are watching Grimm. It seems Juiette/Eve and Sean can do no wrong and Adalind is the cause of all the problems.
It all started all because Sean wanted the Keys and Power. He wodud have sold his soul to the devil. Adalind was an evil person but she changed accept that.
As for Juliette/Eve.
Before she drank the potion she knew there would be risks, but she did anyway, she was not forced or coerce to drink it, but she blames everyone for her becoming a Hexenbeist.
As for Diana she adored her mother bonded with her.
Diana, I agree with you, excellent post, also welcome to the forum.
