I don’t know what some were watching. Maybe some contributors to these forums did not watch all the episodes. For me, I have watched them a few times and re-watched them with family and friends.
I have access to all 5 seasons on Amazon Prime and paid for the 6th season to view over and over again as I want. Recently also got the DVD set.
What I saw in these 123 episodes were more bad Wesen than good Wesen. Whether the bad ones preyed on humans or Wesen, it didn’t matter. Bad is bad.
Nick and Hank were Homicide Detectives, hence the category “Homicide”. They responded to homicides and most, Him as a “Grimm”, saw them to be Wesen. Now we can debate, just because he ran into lots of bad Wesen, not all Wesen were bad. But he did not have the pleasure to deal with the good Wesen.
Like I have posted on another post. Homicide Detectives do not show up at someone’s residence/place of employ to announce the winner of a lottery of the Publisher’s Clearing House Giveaway. He is a Grimm with a regular job as a Homicide Detective. Once the hat was out of the bag and Sean, His police Captain, was aware of it from the pilot, and a Zauberbiest himself.
I am sure even in real life he would have assigned more of the cases that sounded possible Wesen were involved to Nick. If the happened to be on an assignment rotation at that precinct. It wouldn’t matter because the writers would have written it as them responding to those cases anyhow. If they didn’t, there would be no show.
