He's in a different head space than she is, that's why it wad easy for her to tell him and he hasn't because he doesn't know what he feels other than he feels something for her.
To love someone isn't restricted to a tick box of things to do.
At this stage Adalind is more afraid of Conrad than Sean. She needs to play the dutiful if not loving fiance because she was threatened. She had no reason to pretend with Sean but she's not stupid either. She knows one slip up could cost her. The phonecall with Wu, she acted nervous when Sean walked in her room, for all she knows it could have been Conrad, so why risk continuing the converstion?
As I said earlier just because Sean is the better option on paper, Adalind is not obligated to choose him if she's not interested and we know she's not interested because she's into Nick. Hard as it is to believe but this is about what she wants not what's best for her. Example: Paris was the better option for Juliette but she chose Romeo the son of her father's bitter rival. No pros vs cons would ever convince her to go with the safe, better choice all round because she wasn't interested.
That's clearer than what I said about it. What Sean can do for Adalind does not matter if Adalind doesn't want Sean. She's not some trophy to be won. Neither Sean or Nick is entitled to have her based on what they can give her. Her feelings actually matter! As of now, Adalind would rather be with Nick than Sean. Her letter to him spelled this out. That's why Sean's status doesn't matter unless Adalind is the Hexenbiest she started out as and I don't think the show is going this route.
