But I have never understood Adalind's actions.
The first time she meet Diana. Why did she not leave with her.
The second time when she went to the house. When Conrad left why would she not leave with the kids.
Why would she stay to the point of letting Conrad put the ring on her. She is a hexenbiest what is she scared of. If Adalind was that scared of Conrad why not kill him. Diana did not seem to have a problem doing it.
Even Eve took Conrad on head to head. If Adalind had left it is not like there was no one to back her up. Staying with SEan she now has no one to look out for her. Sean is mayor now why does he need Adalind. Why would she think Conrad would have keep her alive after the election. This is the same position the Royals put her in.
Whether Bonaparte was at the BC house or not, the premises were always under armed guard. No one was going to let Adalind get in a taxi with the children and drive away. Nor did Adalind have anyone to trust with Diana.
Meisner, the Resistance, the Royals, Nick, Kelly, and HW have made all the decisions about Diana and never involved Adalind in the decision process.
Kelly, Nick, and Renard take Diana from Adalind. Then the Royals take Diana from Kelly. Then Meisner takes Diana from the Royals, tells Renard but not Adalind.
Why would Adalind even try to leave the one faction that actually reunited her with Diana and return to any of the people who intentionally kept Diana from her? Why would Adalind trust that Nick and Meisner wouldn’t take Diana again?
I agree with the not understanding Adalind’s actions part - I don’t understand why Adalind would ever think she is in love with someone who kidnapped her child. Why is she so angry at Renard for helping Kelly take Diana, but in love with Nick? Adalind appears to not have a grasp on her emotions or her reality.
In the series sometimes it hard to get a timeline to judge point A to point B. So how long really in the series was it between the time Renard tells Adalind that Meisner was there the night the King died and took Diana but Adalind herself only know of Meisner in the resistance. The timeline get kind of mixed when Meisner shows up as HW and when Sean tells her about Meisner on that night. Now we come her telling Nick. Be honest I have no idea what the timeline was, did Nick have time to do any looking for Diana?
I think now with his and Adalind relationship he would help get and take care of Diana like he would Kelly. Now I could be wrong so don't bet the farm on that.
I think if Nick is to remain the hero-lead of Grimm then he will need to do what is best by both of the children, but it is tricky to know what 'best' is, given the crazy nature of their situation. It could be that the scoobies triumph over the bad guys and get the children back and there is an interesting nature vs nurture raising of Diana. It could be that Nick has to watch them playing happy families while biting his tongue/everything. Or something in-between.
