Adalind said to Nick "I wish I could take it all back". To which Nick replied "'except Kelly". Adalind has received forgiveness fromteam Grimm, but what she did is not forgotten as exemplified by their not telling her about the stick.
I agree that the crew is keeping the relic a secret from Adalind, and for good cause. She has a long way to go to prove herself trustworthy.
But, she's not the only one they are keeping in the dark. Nick hasn't told Truble about it either. This indicates to me that he isn't so sure about HW and her association with them.
I think Nick would have told her in a heartbeat BEFORE she joined HW. Now, he's not so sure about where her loyalties lie.
One thing about her being part of HW, and something that in real life would have pi$$ed me off no end, was her failure to tell Nick what happened to Kelly's remains!!
That was inexcusable. Nick was her "big brother", her friend and mentor, and she couldn't be bothered to tell him that Kelly had been given burial! He did things for her that not only could have ended his career, but could have gotten him thrown into the pen.
The girl didn't have to give away state secrets. Just make a simple statement of fact. "Nick, your mother's remains were found and given burial. I can't tell you where right now, but I will as soon as I can get it cleared." Just let the poor guy know she wasn't rotting in a landfill somewhere.
Wouldn't it be nice if Eve killed Adalind and then LBB killed Eve? Everybody wins! I really don't care for the character of Eve and this whole Adalind/Nick relationship is more than a little creepy to me.
I tend to agree with Aunt Marie's advice to Nick. He can't have a committed relationship with anyone. They would be nothing but a target for others and a liability for him. Dump Adalind, find Little Kelly a good home somewhere far away, and do your Grimm thing.
