Her question as I see it does a Adalind relationship with Nick work with all their past. In season 1 to 4 no way as I see it, that being said looks like the writers and now building a understanding between them that may go either way.
They have shown that Nick and Adalind can talk about the past mistakes and the upbring. I'm not sure where the writers are going how they may work this but for now I can see it working.
As do the have anything but their son that is what the writers are working on now. We still have a lot of questions.
The act of Adalind coming to Nick's aid will be where if we are to see a turning point toward something more, will be then. Just 1 and half cents.
My only problem with the lawyer angle is that when Adalind was a lawyer, she also had her full on hexenbeist going. Which probably made her a bulldog in the courtroom. Now, that the hexenbeist is suppressed, she might not have that "killer" instinct as she once had.
And as far as Nick and Adalind becoming a couple well....everybody see's that coming. I mean, with her needing Nick to sleep in the same bed as her. Her telling him that she worries about him....blah...blah..
Even Juliette saw it coming. Remember the episode where Juliette had a "Nightmare" after discovering that Adalind was having Nick's baby? It was Adalind and Nick in the house and being all "Ozzy and Harriet" with her holding a baby. Maybe that was Juliette's Hexenbeist showing her a glimpse of the future.
Never thought about Adalind's career as having benefited from her hexenbeast half before, but now that you bring it up, you are definitely onto something. The Ziegevolk lawyer certainly knew how to parlay his wesen charms into a great career as a defense attorney, but fell flat on his face once his powers of persuasion were taken away. It seems entirely possible Adalind might have lost her edge as well.
I also like the idea of Adalind having to "rescue" Nick with her legal skills. Maybe her love for him would be enough to give her back her "killer" instinct. Although, I imagine representing the father of your child in a murder trial is probably considered unethical.
I agree with you about Nick and Adalind as a couple; there's been a whole lot of telegraphing going on. Even during the very controversial episode in which Adalind masqueraded as Juliette, Nick appeared to have acquired an afterglow from Adalind that left quite an impression. He seemed more passionate about Juliette the one time she was actually Adalind, than at any other point in the series.
Ah love, if it made sense, it wouldn't be nearly as much fun.
