Good points. I pulled the NBC summaries to revisit these kisses:
“2.20 - Kiss of the Muse
Zoe, acting very flirty, says she has a thing for people who see the world differently and begins coming on to Nick. In a moment of passion, Zoe and Nick kiss, and she morphs into a Musai (an elf-like Wesen). Zoe quickly demorphs and retreats from Nick, embarrassed. But Nick assures her; he's there to help. Nick is caught up in Zoe's seduction, so much so that he forgets about his dinner plans with Juliette. An abrupt call from Monroe reminds Nick, and he's forced to exit unceremoniously.”
“4.14 - Bad Luck
Henrietta maintains there's nothing she can do to reverse Juliette's condition and warns Nick he should stay out of her way as she learns to control her powers. To show Nick what she means, Henrietta transfixes him and almost gets Nick to kiss her. When Nick snaps out of it, Henrietta warns Juliette will grow to be even more powerful than her.”
Both of the kisses occurred while Nick was under wessen spells. That is no excuse for a Grimm. However, the nature of Juliette’s sexual activity with Renard and Kenneth was way beyond a kiss.
Nick should have set up a defense against wessen love spells back when Catherine put Renard and Juliette were under the hate sex spell. Such a defense would have revealed Adalind’s faking as Juliette to rape him and steal his powers. That would have prevented a lot of Nick’s current anguish.
So Nick was seduced three times. Two kisses wessen spell kisses and one full rape. Note that the female actress in the rape scene was Bitsie T, so Nick deserves a pass for that. Instead of compassion, insane Juliette decides to be devoid of sexual morals and to kill Nick for being a rape victim.
Nick’s purity of love was tarnished by wessen spells not by his lack of control. As I said on another post, Juliette possibly never loved Nick. If not, why did she live with him so long? She became the most vile and despicable villain ever.
