That is another reason for him to try to hide the possession of the land. If the land is in his name he would have to report and Sean would have access to the address. If the land was in Juliette’s name and Nick and Juliette marry, I think they would have to report too.
If you are talking about the house, I think Sean didn’t had the address other way Bonapart wouldn’t have to need to take this info from Adelaind. Nick could have rent a real house just to give its address as an official address. It doesn’t mean that Adelaind and his son needed to be in his official address. I am pretty sure the safe house address wasn’t Nick’s official address and this way he didn’t report it to the PD.
I mean. Nick could have give a valid address. But not that safe house address.

What I'm saying is I don't think he can do it. He has to keep a valid address on file. He's a public servant, which is a much higher duty. He could be fired for withholding information.
That would be certainly a crime. But a small crime compared to other things Nick had already done. Don't you think?
