haha, that was pretty good. I've been thinking about slumming, even doing some research on the internet. I guess I never thought about Juliette slumming because I have seen this kind of thing before without even thinking about it. X-files put Mulder and Scully together. Mulder was an FBI special agent, Scully was an MD. Interestingly enough, Scully's background was not one of wealth but maybe middle to upper class? I know her father was the 'admiral' but her mom was just 'mom'. There's also Bones. Temperance is married to Seeley Booth, another FBI special agent. Temperance's background is not middle class at all, as her father was a conman. What's your thought on those series? I've watched both of them for years and there is a chemistry between the characters that makes the relationships completely believable.
With the exception of Grimm (which I watch over the Internet) I do not think I have watched a modern television show since Seinfeld went off the air. So I have no knowledge of the other TV shows.
However when I was young, I was the object of several women's attention who I know realize were slumming. So I am very familiar with the concept and the issues and know both ends of the equation. As I mentioned a while back, age gives you a vantage point that simply comes with experience.
Since it is obvious you are intellectually curious, consider reflecting on why it is arranged marriages between adults work as well as they do. And then think about why the divorce rate is so high in society's that pursue romantic love as a basis for a marriage.
Most pleasant regards...
